If you’re new to Shopify, the Powered by Shopify text in your store’s footer might seem like a mysterious and intimidating part of the Shopify system. But once you understand how it works, you’ll know that you can get rid of this text/link with just a few quick steps.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Find the theme where you want to remove the "powered by Shopify" text, and then click Actions > Edit languages.
- In the Search translations box, search for powered
- In the Powered by Shopify box, add a single space to get rid of the faded text.
- Click Save.
Some of the themes have a built-in checkbox that allows you to remove the text. To find the checkbox, go to Customizer > Theme settings and it can be in one of the settings.
